The kids have enjoyed these, but I was hoping for more basic single digit math facts. This makes the color-by-number aspect a little awkward as they have to identify what range of numbers the answer falls in (50-64 or something) in order to identify what color to use. They've been able to figure it out, but I think they lose interest more quickly than they would if it was something more simple, like color all 5's red, all 8's blue, etc. The older kids who are a little more practiced in math are less interested in coloring Pokemon. Still, a great idea and they have had some fun with it.
Great! Finally a pokemon that has a purpose. Kept my little boy I tutor engaged and excited about practicing. He has autism and he is not easily entertained.
I bought this for my 8 year old. I was worried because the description didn't say what level math it was. It is perfect for my 3rd grader. It starts with simple math facts and then goes to two digit number addition and subtraction. It also has some easy multiplication and division. I would highly recommend this book.
My 8 yr old has enjoyed these. We use them as an extra math practice for our homeschool. The problems are pretty easy but there are a lot of them on each page so it's a lot of practice. The pictures are fun to see after they're colored.
While I’m not sure it’s a liacensed product, it’s a cool idea. The authors did a great job planning the equations and layout. It was appropriate for the second transitioning into third grader this purchase was intended for. Although they were worried we wouldn’t have all the colors, it wasn’t a problem.
My kid loves this book (6yo), he's not quite to the harder math pages, but loves them all so far.
My math hating Pokemon loving kid love this book. A very big win! It has a lot of math problems on one page but after a big she can tell what the image is and can use her deduction skills to complete it as far as I in concerned that's two skills being practiced at once.
Great idea, but very repetitive. That in itself isn't bad, but my son gets bored quickly doing the same problems over and over. Squares are small so it's a LOT of coloring. If you have a kid that doesn't like to color, I wouldn't recommend.
